Maple Mashed Sweet Potatoes

• 1/3 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup
• 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
• 1 can (40 oz.) sweet potatoes, drained
• 1/3 cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

1. Bring syrup and butter to boil in medium saucepan on medium heat; simmer on low heat 2 min.
2. Add sweet potatoes; stir to coat.
3. Cook 10 min., stirring occasionally.
4. Remove from heat.
5. Beat with mixer until smooth.
6. Spoon into serving dish; sprinkle with nuts.
