Apple Turkey Sausage Patties Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. Grated Peeled Apples
- 2/3 c. finely minced onions
- 1 c. fresh bread crumbs
- 2 x egg whites
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp coarse grnd black pepper
- 2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes
- 1 lb grnd turkey breast Vegetable cooking spray
- 1.
- Coat large non-stick fry pan with cooking spray.
- Over medium heat, cook constantly.
- Remove from heat and place in mixing bowl.
- Cold completely.

- Add in remaining ingredients to Apple mix, stirring till proportionately combined.
- Using 3tablespoons mix, portion and shaped into 16 patties, 3/4-inch thick.
- Place on broiler pan or possibly baking sheet coated with cooking spray.

- Broil 3-inches from heat, turning once, about 3 min each side or possibly till light brown and center is no longer pink.
- Serve warm.
- Yield: 8 servings.
- Suggest Michigan Apple varieties to use: Empire, Gala, Ginger Gold, Golden brown Delicious, Ida Red, Jonagold, Jonathan, McIntosh, Paula Red or possibly Rome.
- Variation: Substitute 1 1/2 c. canned Michigan Apple slices, liquid removed and minced for fresh apples.
- Don't cook with onions.
- Add in with remaining ingredients.
