Diamond Fizz

• 1 1/2 ounces gin
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon superfine sugar (or less,to taste)
• 3 or 4 ice cubes
• Club soda

1. Put all ingredients except the club soda in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
2. Strain into an 8-ounce highball glass and fill with club soda.
