Maple-Barbecued Pork Burgers

  1. Gently mix sausage and green bell pepper in medium bowl.
  2. Form into two 1/2-inch-thick patties.
  3. (Can be made 8 hours ahead.
  4. Cover and refrigerate.)
  5. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat).
  6. Whisk barbecue sauce, maple syrup, and vinegar in medium bowl to blend well.
  7. Reserve 1/3 cup sauce to baste patties.
  8. Grill rolls until lightly toasted.
  9. Transfer to 2 plates.
  10. Grill patties 5 minutes.
  11. Turn patties over.
  12. Brush with sauce.
  13. Grill until cooked through, brushing occasionally with sauce, about 5 minutes longer.
  14. Place burgers on bottom halves of rolls.
  15. Top each burger with 1/4 cup coleslaw and top half of roll.
  16. Serve, passing remaining sauce separately.
