Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms With Butter Or Wine Sauce Recipe
- 1 pound mushrooms
- 1/2 pound Sweet Italian sausage
- 1 lg. teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 pound butter plus several pats
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 3/4 c. wine (optional)
- Clean mushrooms.
- Remove stems and chop small into a large bowl.
- Brown sausage; cold and break into very small pcs into same bowl.
- Add in bread crumbs and poultry seasoning.
- Mix thoroughly and stuff into mushrooms, quite high.
- Place 1/4 lb.
- butter and stuffed mushrooms in pan (can add in wine to butter).
- Place pat of butter to top of each mushroom.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 3/4 hour.
- Baste before serving.
