David Venables Smoked Gouda Grits

  1. In a 3Qt sauce pot over medium high heat, add the butter, chicken broth, milk, dried oregano and salt.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Slowly whisk in grits.
  4. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add in the cheese, sour cream, sage and parsley.
  6. Whisk well to combine.
  7. Allow the cheese to melt giving the grits a creamy texture.
