Michigan Corn Chowder Recipe
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1/2 c. bacon, cut in 3/8 inch strips
- 1 (16 ounce.) can cream style corn
- 1 (16 ounce.) can peeled, minced tomatoes (not liquid removed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or possibly to taste
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- Cook onion and bacon together, don't drain.
- Add in corn, tomatoes and salt.
- Simmer about 15 min, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm after adding lowfat milk gradually.
- Don't allow to stick or possibly scorch.
- 4 large servings.
