Mug O' Minty Hot Chocolate

  1. Bring milk just to simmer in a medium saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and whisk in chocolate and cocoa powder until chocolate is melted and cocoa powder is dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract.
  4. Pour into 4 mugs and garnish each mug with whipped cream or cool whip and 2 candy cane stirrers.
