Sauerkraut Skillet Recipe

  1. Combine grnd beef, bread crumbs, lowfat milk and a dash of pepper.
  2. Mix well, shape into 12 meatballs.
  3. Brown in shortening in large skillet, remove meatballs.
  4. In same skillet combine sauerkraut, onion and 1/2 tsp.
  5. salt.
  6. Stir in rice and water.
  7. Add in meatballs and tomatoes.
  8. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 min.
  9. Makes 6 servings.
