Pudding Fudge

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine dry pudding mix, sugar, milk and butter.
  2. Bring to a boil; boil and stir until a candy thermometer reads 224, about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and beat rapidly for 1 minute.
  4. Add pecans; continue beating until mixture thickens slightly.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paperlined baking sheets.
  6. Refrigerate until firm, about 45 minutes.
