Glazed Cherry Pie

  1. Stir gelatin into boiling water in medium bowl until dissolved.
  2. Combine sugar and first amount of cherries in medium saucepan.
  3. Stir.
  4. Mash cherries then heat and stir until it boils.
  5. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add gelatin mixture.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Place second amount of cherries in pie shell.
  9. Pour hot mixture over top.
  10. Just use what pie shell will hold.
  11. A bit may need to be left out.
  12. Chill at least 4 hours before cutting.
  13. Note: Fresh cherries in cherry gelatin.
  14. Serve with whipped cream for finishing touch.
