Glazed Cherry Pie
- 3 ounces cherry gelatin
- 23 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 baked pie shell, 9 inch
- Stir gelatin into boiling water in medium bowl until dissolved.
- Combine sugar and first amount of cherries in medium saucepan.
- Stir.
- Mash cherries then heat and stir until it boils.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add gelatin mixture.
- Remove from heat.
- Place second amount of cherries in pie shell.
- Pour hot mixture over top.
- Just use what pie shell will hold.
- A bit may need to be left out.
- Chill at least 4 hours before cutting.
- Note: Fresh cherries in cherry gelatin.
- Serve with whipped cream for finishing touch.
