Fresh Green Beans
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 6 pieces of raw bacon, Lean bacon is better
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 12 teaspoons ground pepper
- 1 12 teaspoons ground sea salt
- 2 12 table spoons extra virgin olive oil
- Snap off end of green beans - stem side.
- Chop fresh garlic clove finely
- Rinse off green beans in colander
- Boil a large pot of water - add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Cook bacon in frying pan over medium heat until bacon is semi-browned
- Cut up bacon into small pieces or crumble
- Add Green beans to pot and boil until they are bright green - about 5-7 min.
- Drain Green beans.
- Add olive oil, chopped bacon,2 teaspoons of bacon grease from frying pan, finely chopped garlic, ground pepper, sea salt, and drained green beans to pot.
- Mix well
- Serve and enjoy!
