Applesauce Cinnamon Ornaments Recipe

• 1 1/2 c. Unsweetened applesauce
• 2 c. Cinnamon
• 1 tsp Allspice (optional)
• 1 tsp Cloves (optional)
• 1 tsp Ginger (optional)

1. Mix together in an electric mixer for about 5 min till the dough looks like clay.
2. It will be smooth and not very sticky.
3. Dust hands with cinnamon to be able to handle the dough.
4. Dust a rolling pin and board with cinnamon and roll out to about 1/4 an inch thick or possibly more.
5. (thinner dough than this tends to curl during baking) Cut out with holiday cookie cutters.
6. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 150 degrees for one hour.
7. Remove from the cookie sheets and bake on the oven racks for another hour and a half.
8. Decorate with fabric paints, candy-shaped beads, silk holly, or possibly whatever you want.
9. Warm glue a ribbon or possibly a small magnet to the back, or possibly warm glue several to a ribbon wrapped grapevine wreath.
