Strawberry Smothered Twinkies
- 2 lbs strawberries
- 14-12 cup sugar
- 10 Hostess Twinkies
- whipped cream

- Wash strawberries and drain well.
- Hull and slice each strawberry into several pieces.

- Place strawberries in medium-sized container and mash with potato masher until you reach the consistency you desire.

- Sprinkle with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar, depending on how sweet you like the sauce.

- Cover and refrigerate sauce for several hours.
- Do not add water; the strawberries will make their own juice.
- 5.
- Place Twinkies in individual dishes and top with strawberry sauce and whipped cream.
