Family Goulash
- 1 13 lbs stewing beef
- 4 yellow onions
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 13 cup tomato paste
- 1 23 cups vegetable broth
- Preheat the oven to 325F.
- Cut the meat into cubes.
- Peel and cut the onions and garlic into thin slices.
- Saute the onions and garlic in the margarine until soft.
- Add the meat, brown slightly.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and let it get to a boil.
- Cover the pan and put it into the preheated oven.
- Let simmer until the meat is tender, approximately 2 hours.
