C.S.Beef Stew Recipe

  1. Combine cornstarch, salt & paprika.
  2. Dredge meat lightly with mix, reserve rest of mix.
  3. Toss meat cubes with oil in oven proof casserole.
  4. Bake uncovered in 450 oven 30 minutes., Stir once.
  5. Add in carrots, celery & onion and potatoes.
  6. Combine rest of cornstarch, mushroom soup, onion soup mix, worcestershire sauce and gravy browning, gradually add in lowfat milk.
  7. Pour over meat and vegetables, cover and bake in reduced heated oven at 350 F for 1 hour, Stir and bake another 45 minutes.
  8. or possibly till meat is tender.
