Cranberry Orange Preserves

  1. Measure cranberries into a large saucepan.
  2. Add sugar, chopped orange and water to fruit and mix well.
  3. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Place saucepan over high heat.
  5. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Immediately stir in liquid fruit pectin and liqueur.
  8. Stir and skim foam with metal spoon for 5 minutes to prevent floating fruit.
  9. Pour quickly into warm, sterilized jars filling up to 1/4 inch from rim.
  10. Seal while hot with sterilized 2 piece lids with new centers.
