Seafood Gumbo
- 1 lb. medium shrimp
- 1 lb. imitation Alaskan crabmeat
- 1/2 lb. frozen okra, sliced
- 1 can backfin crabmeat
- 1 (12 oz.) can yellow whole kernel corn
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole or chopped tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. Season-All
- 24 oz. tap water
- Steam shrimp for 3 minutes and devein.
- Cut up or dice Alaskan crabmeat.
- Slice okra while frozen.
- Remove shells from crabmeat. Drain corn.
- Drain tomatoes.
- Dice onions and peppers in large chunks.
- Combine all ingredients in large pot (Dutch oven).
- Add cornstarch to thicken as desired.
- Cook for 15 minutes over medium heat (stir constantly).
- Serve over white or brown rice.
