Rustic Pizza Pie
- 2 loaves frozen Italian bread and pizza crust dough (48 oz. pkg.)
- 1/2 lb. loose Italian sausage, cooked and drained
- 1 c. Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. Provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. pizza or spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 c. pepperoni, salami or ham
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 c. chopped fresh spinach
- Heat oven to 425u0b0.
- Grease a 10 x 1 1/2-inch pie plate.
- Press or roll 1 loaf of bread dough into 13-inch circle on lightly floured surface.
- Place in pie plate.
- Sprinkle sausage and cheese over dough.
- Add mushrooms, spinach, pepperoni, onion and pizza sauce.
- Roll remaining bread dough into an 11-inch circle.
- Place over filling.
- Pinch to seal and pull up to form a rim.
- Prick top. Brush with egg and bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with green salad.
