Artichoke Dip Appetizer Recipe

  1. The following appetizer is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
  2. I have never taken it anywhere without being asked for the recipe:
  3. Tear artichokes apart with your fingers.
  4. Cut up pita bread into chip size triangles, seperate and bake on a cookie sheet till crispy (approx 5 min).
  5. Combine all remaining ingredients and mash (a KitchenAid mixer works great).
  6. Bake in a uncovered casserole dish for approx 30 min @ 350 or possibly till bubbly.
  7. Serve warm out of the oven and scoop up dip with pita bread.
  8. If you intend to take this to a party or possibly are having friends over be prepared to recite this recipe a number of times.
  9. My wife and I bring xerox copies with us!
  10. I downloaded this recipe off the internet about 6 years ago and I have made it several times.
  11. It is quite good.
  12. I usually add in some minced green chiles.
