Beans And Sauerkraut Soup Recipe

  1. Soak beans overnight.
  2. Cook in approximately 3 qts of water till tender (3 hrs).
  3. Add in sauerkraut and simmer 1/2 hour.
  4. Add in flour and oil and brown lightly in skillet with onion and garlic (chop fine).
  5. Add in to beans and sauerkraut.
  6. (For a richer soup, add in ham bone or possibly Kielbasi to beans and cook together.)
  7. For a fast soup use canned red beans.
