Shortcake Kolaches Recipe
- 2 c. Bisquick
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 can pie filling
- Mix lowfat milk and melted butter.
- Mix Bisquick and sugar.
- Mix lowfat milk mix with Bisquick, mix using a fork till a soft dough is formed.
- Beat mix vigorously (about 20 strokes).
- Turn dough out on a floured surface and knead 8- 10 times.
- Roll dough out till 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut out six 3 inch shortcakes.
- Dip fingers in flour and press a deep indention (about 2 inches across) in the center of each shortcake.
- Fill each indentation with about 2 Tbsp.
- pie filling.
- Bake about 10 min on a greased cookie sheet.
- Allow to cold.
- Spread top with frosting, if you like.
- Serves 6.
