Shortcake Kolaches Recipe

  1. Mix lowfat milk and melted butter.
  2. Mix Bisquick and sugar.
  3. Mix lowfat milk mix with Bisquick, mix using a fork till a soft dough is formed.
  4. Beat mix vigorously (about 20 strokes).
  5. Turn dough out on a floured surface and knead 8- 10 times.
  6. Roll dough out till 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut out six 3 inch shortcakes.
  8. Dip fingers in flour and press a deep indention (about 2 inches across) in the center of each shortcake.
  9. Fill each indentation with about 2 Tbsp.
  10. pie filling.
  11. Bake about 10 min on a greased cookie sheet.
  12. Allow to cold.
  13. Spread top with frosting, if you like.
  14. Serves 6.
