Holiday Cranberry Applesauce

  1. In a large pot, combine all ingredients.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. cook over medium heat, covered, 15 minutes.
  4. Lower heat; simmer until apples are very soft, about 20 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly.
  6. Transfer to a food processor with the knife blade; process until smooth.
  7. Serve warm, chilled or at room temperature.
  8. Serves 10.
  9. NOTE: I usually make half the recipe.
  10. I have used Granny Smith apples with great results.
