Crunch bars
- 35 premium plus saltine crackers
- 12 cup butter
- 12 cup packed light brown sugar
- 8 (1 ounce) baker's semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup walnut pieces, toasted, finely chopped
- Heat oven to 400F Place crackers in single layer in foil-lined 15x10x3/4-inch pan.
- Cook butter and sugar in saucepan on medium-high heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally.
- Bring to boil; cook 3 minute without stirring.
- Spread over crackers.
- Bake 7 minute Immediately sprinkle with chopped chocolate; let stand 5 minute Spread melted chocolate over crackers.
- Sprinkle with walnuts; cool completely.
- Break into pieces.
