Apple Cranberry-Nut Pie
- 2 sheets shortcrust pastry
- 1 egg
- 400 g pie apples
- 4 tablespoons dried cranberries (or sultanas)
- 3 tablespoons hazelnut meal
- Place on sheet of pastry in the bottom of a lightly greased pie dish.
- Combine apples, cranberries, and hazelnut meal.
- Spoon apple filling into pie dish.
- Top with other sheet of pastry, and pinch edges together to seal.
- Brush with the beaten egg, and bake at 180C for 25 minutes until pastry is golden.
- Serve hot, with icecream.
