Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 14 cups all-purpose flour
- 23 cup whole wheat flour
- 14 cup ground flax seed meal
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 34 cup butter, melted
- 14 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 12 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (4oz)
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, flaxseed meal, soda and salt until blended; reserve.
- On medium-high speed, beat brown sugar, butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Stir in egg, yolk and vanilla until blended.
- On low speed, gradually beat in reserved flour mixture until blended.
- Stir in chips and walnuts.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2" apart, onto baking sheets; flatten slightly.
- Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool 1 minute on baking sheets.
- Transfer to racks; cool.
