Cherry Heart Pie
- 2 cups enjoy life very berry crunch granola cereal
- 2 tablespoons tapioca or 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, margarine (optional) or 3 tablespoons safflower oil dash salt (optional)
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cansdrained tart cherries
- 23 cup brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- Grind granola in food processor or blender until fine.
- Add remaining crust ingredients and process until well blended.
- Press into greased heart-shaped pie plate.
- Preheat oven to 350F While waiting, combine all filling ingredients in a bowl.
- Let stand 15 minutes.
- Pour on top of crust and bake 15-20 min at 350F or until filling begins to bubble.
