Lasagna Ala Jan
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 16 ounces cottage cheese
- 12 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 2 eggs
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- Brown meat and drain fat.
- Add "A" ingredients (garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, tomato sauce, tomato paste) to meat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook noodles per box directions.
- Drain and rinse in cold water.
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- In separate bowl, combine "B" ingredients (cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, salt, pepper).
- Put a small layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 pan, then layer of 3 noodles, then cottage cheese mixture, then meat sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat 3 more times (noodles, cottage cheese mix, meat, mozzarella).
- Save the last layer of mozzarella for the last 10 minute of baking.
- Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
- Note: This can be refrigerated before serving, but bake for 45 minutes.
