Asiago-Stuffed Dates with Bacon and Smoked Paprika

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Using small knife, make small cut in side of each date; remove pit.
  3. Insert 1 piece of cheese into each date.
  4. Brush bacon slices generously on 1 side with smoked paprika.
  5. Wrap each date with 1 piece of bacon, with paprika side against date.
  6. Secure bacon with toothpick.
  7. Arrange dates on rimmed baking sheet.
  8. Roast until bacon is browned on bottom, about 6 minutes.
  9. Turn dates; roast until bacon is cooked, about 6 minutes longer.
  10. Transfer to plate; cool slightly.
  11. Remove toothpicks.
