Brattleboro (Vermont) Peanut Butter Bread Recipe
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 c. peanut butter (plain or possibly chunky)
- Sift flour.
- Add in baking pwdr, salt and sugar.
- Sift again.
- Gradually add in lowfat milk to peanut butter and blend.
- Add in flour mix and stir just sufficient to moisten.
- (Do not beat.)
- Batter will be stiff.
- Pour into well greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Cold 5 min and remove from pan.
