Sidecar

• 1 lemon wedge
• Sugar
• Ice
• 2 ounces Cognac
• 3/4 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
• 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup, optional

1. Moisten half of the outer rim of a chilled coupe with the lemon wedge and coat lightly with sugar.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
3. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well.
4. Strain into the coupe.
