Teriyaki Barbecue Roasted Tri-Tip

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Remove any excess fat from roast.
  3. In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce and teriyaki sauce together (set 1/4 cup aside).
  4. Use the remaining sauce to coat both sides of the roast and place fattier side down on a rack in a shallow pan.
  5. Sprinkle dried minced garlic to completely cover the top of the roast.
  6. Bake 5060 minutes, for an internal temperature of 145 degrees -150 degrees F (or 160 degrees F, if you prefer your meat less pink).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  8. Slice across the grain and put a little sauce over the meat.
  9. Serve with your favorite rice pilaf and a green vegetable.
