An Easy Way to Peel Chestnuts!

  1. Make a 5 mm cut on the bottom of each chestnut.
  2. Put the chestnuts in the pressure cooker and add enough water to cover.
  3. Bring the pressure over high heat.
  4. When the pressure comes up and you can hear steam escaping, turn the heat to low and pressure cook for 1 minute.
  5. Wait until the pressure drops naturally.
  6. If you're in a hurry, pour cold water on the pressure cooker.
  7. The pot and chestnuts will both be hot, so be careful!
  8. Soak the chestnuts in a bowl of cold water.
  9. Use your hands or a spoon to peel the outer shell and inner skin.
