An Easy Way to Peel Chestnuts!
- Make a 5 mm cut on the bottom of each chestnut.
- Put the chestnuts in the pressure cooker and add enough water to cover.
- Bring the pressure over high heat.
- When the pressure comes up and you can hear steam escaping, turn the heat to low and pressure cook for 1 minute.
- Wait until the pressure drops naturally.
- If you're in a hurry, pour cold water on the pressure cooker.
- The pot and chestnuts will both be hot, so be careful!
- Soak the chestnuts in a bowl of cold water.
- Use your hands or a spoon to peel the outer shell and inner skin.
