Guava Glazed Pork Chops
- 4 whole Bone In Center Cut Pork Chops, 1 - 1 1/2 Inches Thick
- 1 cup Guava Jelly (found On The Mexican Foods Aisle)
- 1/4 cups Orange Juice
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Fresh Grated Ginger
- 2 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Preheat one side of a propane grill to medium high/high heat and heat the other side to low.
- If using a charcoal grill, move the hot coals over to one side of the grill.
- Add the guava jelly, orange juice, ginger, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce into a small saucepan.
- Whisk to combine and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
- When it hits a boil, remove glaze from stove and reserve 1/4 cup.
- Take the remaining pan of glaze out and set it by the grill.
- Youll use it in a bit.
- Season one side of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Lay the chops, seasoned side down on the hot side of the grill and season the other side of the chops.
- Close the lid and grill for 6-7 minutes.
- Then flip the chops and grill the second side for another 6-7 minutes.
- Move the chops to the cooler side of the grill and brush with glaze.
- Grill 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the chops, glaze the second side, and grill another 2-3 minutes.
- Continue to flip and glaze until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 160 F, about 10 minutes more.
- Transfer chops to a plate and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle with the reserved glaze and serve.
