Golden Raisin Rounds

  1. Toss flour and raisins together in a bowl.
  2. Beat butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Add marmalade and egg yolk; beat until blended.
  4. Add flour mixture, alternating with sour cream, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla and nuts; chill.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on pans 2 inches apart.
  8. Flatten with your hand or tines of a fork.
  9. Bake 12 to 14 minutes, until cookies are golden.
  10. To prepare icing, cook butter over medium heat until browned.
  11. Pour butter into a small bowl and stir in marmalade.
  12. Add powdered sugar and water; beat with a spoon until smooth.
  13. Spread on cooled cookies.
