Tennessee Fried Chicken
- 1 each Whole cut up chicken
- 2 dash Salt
- 2 dash Pepper
- 2 Egg
- 2 cup Crushed Corn Flakes
- 1 cup Self rising flour
- 1 Vegetable oil/or Crisco
- Mix eggs in bowl , set aside
- Mix dry ingredients together in second bowl.
- Dredge chicken in egg wash, tap off excess
- Place flour mixture in brown paper bag
- Using the bag, shake, coating pieces evenly
- Meanwhile, heat oil or grease in skillet over medium heat until it pops
- Remove chicken from bag and place in pan
- Fry on both sides until cooked throughly.
- About 7 minutes per side.
- Please check for doneness as skillet temps may vary
