Italian Sausage Broils
- 12 lb bulk Italian sausage
- 12 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 12 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce & mushrooms
- 12 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 split English muffins, toasted and buttered
- Preheat broiler.
- Brown sausage in skillet.
- Drain fat.
- Add basil, oregano and tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp of the shredded cheese on each half of toasted, buttered English muffin.
- Divide sausage mixture among the muffin halves.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Broil about 3 inches from source of heat until cheese melts.
- Serve immediately.
