Mandarin Orange Sherbet Dessert Recipe
- 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. nuts, minced
- 1/2 c. Rice Krispies, crumbed
- Beat egg whites, add in cream of tartar, sugar, minced nuts and Rice Krispies.
- Spread in regular size cake pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 25 min.
- After above is cooled, add in: 1 c. powdered sugar 3 tbsp.
- instant vanilla pudding 2 cans mandarin oranges, liquid removed (reserve 15 sections)
- Whip cream, add in powdered sugar, vanilla pudding and mandarin oranges.
- Pour over above baked egg white mix when it has cooled.
- Sprinkle 3/4 c. coconut on top.
- Place 15 mandarin orange slices proportionately so when dessert is cut, the orange slices will be in the center.
- Place in the refrigerator till serving time.
