Apple And Celery Stuffing Recipe
- 50 gm Butter, (2oz)
- 1 x Onion, finely minced
- 1/2 tsp Schwartz Garlic Granules
- 1 tsp Schwartz Sage
- 1 tsp Schwartz Thyme
- 100 gm Celery, minced (4oz)
- 1/2 x Eating apple, finely minced Salt and pepper
- 250 gm Fresh breadcrumbs, (9oz)
- 150 ml Chicken stock, ( 1/4 pint)
- Pre-heat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6.
- Heat the butter in a large frying pan and fry the onion for 3-4 min till softened.
- Add in the herbs, spices celery and apple.
- Season to taste.
- Fry for a further 2-3 min.
- Stir in the breadcrumbs and cook for 1 minute before adding the stock.
- Mix well.
- Transfer to an ovenproof serving dish or possibly make into stuffing balls and bake for 20-25 min, or possibly use to stuff the turkey.
- NOTES : A herby stuffing - perfect with turkey and chicken
