Wedding Cookies Recipe
- 1/2 pound sweet butter
- 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon brandy
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- Vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar in bowl with electric mixer till fluffy.
- Add in egg and brandy and continue to mix.
- Stir in baking pwdr.
- Gradually add in flour to make a soft and workable dough.
- Shape a small amount of dough into a roll and form an "S" shape or possibly cut with cookie cutter.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 min.
- Remove from oven.
- While still hot, sprinkle with vanilla and roll in confectioners sugar.
- Place on sheet of foil which has been covered with sifted confectioners sugar.
- When cooled thoroughly, sift additional confectioners sugar over cookies.
- Makes 50 to 60 cookies.
- NOTE: Freezes well.
- Vanilla may be substituted for brandy.
