Sweet BBQ Ribs
- 6 pounds Pork Ribs
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cups Each, White Sugar And Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cups Vinegar
- 2 cloves Garlic, Crushed OR 1 1/2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
- In a roasting pan, place the ribs sprinkled with salt and pepper.
- Add up to 2 cups of water so the ribs will not dry out while baking.
- Cover and bake at 300 degrees F for 2-3 hours until tender.
- Mix together all the sauce ingredients until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove ribs from the oven and transfer to a cookie sheet in a single layer.
- Spread the sauce on all sides of the ribs.
- Increase oven heat to 400 degrees F and bake for 25-30 minutes, watching closely to make sure they dont burn.
- If you didnt use all the sauce to cover the ribs, baste the top of the ribs with sauce another time, or serve the BBQ sauce on the side.
