Blackberry and Almond Bruchetta
- 1 (11 ounce) can French rolls, dough
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons almond extract
- 14 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (10 ounce) bag frozen blackberries
- 13 cup toasted sliced almonds
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- heat oven to 350 and bake bread as directed on can and cool 5 minutes.
- cut ends off loaf and cut crosswise into 24 slices.
- arrange slices on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- spray each slice lightly with cooking spray.
- sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- return to oven and bake 8 minutes.
- meanwhile in a small bowl beat cream cheese, almond extractand 1/4 cup powdered sugar until well combined.
- spread cheese mixture on bread top each with 4 blackberries.
- sprinkle with almonds.
