Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Carrots

• 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled, cubed
• 4 large carrots, peeled, sliced
• 2 garlic cloves, peeled
• 1/4 cup whipping cream
• 2 tablespoons butter
• Salt and freshly ground pepper

1. Cook potatoes, carrots and garlic in large pot of boiling salted water until very tender.
2. Drain; return to same pot.
3. Mash with potato masher.
4. Add cream and butter and mash until smooth and creamy.
5. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
