Tarleton Twins' Broiled Oysters on Half Shell
- 18 oysters, in shell
- salt
- pepper
- 2 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 12 cup buttered bread crumb
- Wash oyster shells and pry open, but do not pour off liquid.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Combine bacon, parsley, and onion; sprinkle over oysters, and top with breadcrumbs.
- Place on broiling pan and broil under medium heat 2-5 minutes or until edges begin to curl.
- Serve hot as an appetizer.
