Baked Citrus Swordfish Recipe
- 1 x citrus barbecue sauce (recipe below)
- 6 x swordfish steaks
- 1 x onion large, finely minced
- 1 Tbsp. grnd red chiles
- 1/4 tsp grnd red pepper
- 1 x ancho chile *
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. orange juice
- 1/2 c. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro,snipped
- 1 tsp salt
- Prepare Citrus Barbecue Sauce and set aside.
- Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Place fish steaks in an ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13 X 9 X 2-inches.
- Pour 1 c. of the sauce over the fish.
- Bake, uncovered, till the fish flakes easily with a fork, 20 to 25 min.
- Serve with remaining Citrus Barbecue Sauce.
- Citrus Barbecue Sauce:Combine ingredients in a bowl and whisk to incorporate.
- * Ancho chile should be seeded and finely minced.
