Hot Spinach Salad
- 1 lb (.5 kg). spinach leaves
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 3 eggs, hard boiled and sliced
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) vinegar
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml). salad oil
- 3 tsp (15 ml). sugar
- 4 Tbsp (60 ml). bacon drippings
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). salt
- Place salad ingredients in a large bowl.
- Bring the 5 dressing ingredients to a boil.
- Cool slightly and pour over salad.
- Toss and serve immediately while warm.
