A-1 Upside Down Cake #A1

  1. Place walnuts and A-1 sauce in skillet.
  2. Cook and toss over medium heat until nuts absorb sauce.
  3. Remove from heat and cool.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Grease a 13 X 9 glass dish.
  6. Add 3/4 brown sugar, 3 tablespoons melted margarine, pineapple, cherries and cooled walnuts to 13 X 9 dish.
  7. In medium bowl, Add 1/3 cup melted margarine and 2/3 cup sugar.
  8. Stir until combined.
  9. Add 2 eggs, 2/3 cup water, 1 teaspoon vanilla to sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
  10. Add 1 1/2 cup flour and 3 teaspoons baking powder to sugar mixture.
  11. Beat until well blended.
  12. Pour batter over nuts and fruit in the 13 X 9 glass pan.
  13. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
  14. Turn cake onto platter.
