Mexican Pizza Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat brown ground beef and onions.
  3. Once the meat is cooked through, drain off any fat.
  4. Add the garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and chili powder to the ground beef, stir to mix and remove the skillet from the heat.
  5. Drain the black beans and rinse in a colander, drain well.
  6. Spray a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  7. Place one pizza crust in the dish and pat it out so that it goes all the way up the sides and the edges of the dish.
  8. Place the ground beef on top of the dough so that it goes to each edge.
  9. Spoon the black beans on top of the ground beef.
  10. Next put the green chilies on top of the black beans and top the green chilies with the tomatoes.
  11. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the tomato layer.
  12. Place the second crust over this and roll the seams of the two crusts together so that all the edges are sealed all around.
  13. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Serve with sour cream or salsa if desired.
  15. Makes 12 servings.
