Easy Spring Pie

  1. Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 min.
  2. until completely dissolved.
  3. Add enough ice cubes to cold water to measure 1-1/2 cups.
  4. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is completely melted.
  5. Remove 2 cups of the gelatin; place in small bowl.
  6. Refrigerate 5 min.
  7. or until gelatin is the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
  8. Carefully spoon into crust.
  9. Refrigerate 10 min.
  10. Meanwhile, add 2 cups of the whipped topping to remaining gelatin; stir with wire whisk until well blended.
  11. Refrigerate 10 min.
  12. or until mixture is thick and will mound.
  13. Carefully spoon over gelatin layer in crust.
  14. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm.
  15. Serve topped with the remaining whipped topping.
  16. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
