Braised Chicken And Potatoes Recipe
- 1 x (3-lb) chicken
- 2 x Potatoes
- 2 Tbsp. Red bean cheese
- 2 c. Water
- 3 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Five spices
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 x -(up to)
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 1/4 tsp Salt

- Wipe chicken with a damp cloth.
- With a cleaver, chop, bones and all, in 2-inch sections.

- Peel potatoes and cut in 2-inch cubes, but leave in cool water till ready to use.
- 3.
- Mash red bean cheese; then blend with water, soy sauce, sugar, Five Spices and salt.
- 4.
- Heat oil in a heavy pan.
- Add in remaining salt; then add in chicken sections and brown.
- 5.
- Pour red bean cheese mix over.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Add in potatoes and simmer, covered, till done (about 30 min).
